“Date Afternoon”

A couple of days ago, Asad and I popped into the city for a few work meetings followed by a “date afternoon” in Knightsbridge for a spot of shopping and early dinner.

More than anything else we both had the pursuit of a backpack in mind, in line with the latest fashion trend; given the vast range of designers in Harrods we figured it was the best place to start.

It wasn’t long before we started wondering into other departments (this was easy as we hadn’t brought Mia with us). We are both really into the rich, mystical and oriental scent Oud and have collected quite a few over the course of our married life.

As we wondered about the perfumery hall of Harrods, trying the different versions of Oud that the various brands had to offer we set eyes on an Oud candle by Acqua Di Parma, smelt it and knew this is just want we needed to complete our home collection.

We had skipped lunch that day and it was already approaching 5pm so as usual we headed to the pizzeria on the 2nd floor of Harrods where we ordered a spaghetti in spicy tomato sauce for myself, a truffle macaroni side dish (mainly to takeaway for Mia as this is her favourite), and a margarita pizza for Asad. We were starving by the time the food arrived but it was well worth the wait.

For a long time now my sister has been telling me to visit a cafe by the name of L’eto just down the road from Harrods as they do a wonderful coffee.

I’m not really a coffee person but I do  love trying new foods and drinks so we headed to L’eto where we had the best iced coffee, like none other! And honey cake! I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed a coffee and cake as much as I did that day; the atmosphere of the cafe, the menu and service were all five star.

If you’re ever on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, I really recommend you give this place a try :)
